batalpha at the National Theatre London
batalpha was just awarded a contract which is a part of the big refurbishment of the National Theatre London. As a first step, the "paint frame" of this vast theatre complex will be refurbished and fitted with a completely new control system. This one-of-a-kind construction allows the employees of the paintshop to work on huge hanging backdrops. They are moved - similar to a plotter - to any given point of the giant canvases. After installing the control system at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in 1998, batalpha is happy to be back in Britain!
